Hi everyone, I am a long time member of MDC and I enjoyed the DDC when I was pregnant with my daugher, who is now 4. I also have a 6yo son.
Well, I am pregnant for the third time, but this time I am a gestational surrogate. We went through a failed IVF cycle in January, and then took a long break while my IM (intended mother) switched clinics and went through egg retrieval to make more embryos. On September 10th we transferred two previously frozen 6day blastocysts, and here I am 9 days later! I have been getting positive pregnancy tests for 5 days now, and my beta (blood test) is tomorrow. If everything goes well we will have our first ultrasound in 2 weeks to determine if there are one or two babies. It looks like my due date is May 28th.
I am THRILLED to be pregnant again and my intended parents are over the moon with excitement. We are hopeful that everything will continue to progress well over the next few months. I know this is kind of a wierd situation that many are not familiar with, but I found this site to be such a place of support during my own pregnancies, and I would love to participate during this pregnancy as well.
