I really wanted to title this "Comfiest Pants," but comfiest doesn't look like a word.

I went to Target last night to look at maternity shorts and of course the selection was slim. I tried on one kind (2 sizes) and can't fit into either (one too small, the next too big). DH grabbed some black gaucho shorts/pants and said "what about these?" I tried them on and FELL IN LOVE!

The brand is Merona. Oooh, I found them online. You must absolutely try them if you can. If they go on clearance, I will be buying every single color. I might just do it anyway because I have a feeling I will be wearing these all summer. They're so cute and comfy!

I was actually going to post about some capris that I found at Kohl's. They are their Sonoma brand but they have a wide soft elastic waistband and are pretty forgiving in the waist. I found them in their normal women's (or misses--I don't remember how the sizing works) section, not the maternity area. I bought 2 pairs and I'm hoping I don't have to move to true maternity clothes until fall.

I'll have to look for some of those pants that you found next time I'm at Target.

I need to check Target out. We are going to Disneyland in one month and I will definitely need a few pairs of shorts. I have a pair of Adidas yoga pants that I got at Costco earlier this year and I have been living in them. They do get hot though if the weather is nice.

I found several pairs of pants like your Target ones a while back at Ross Dress for Less for $5 each... bought them all! My current clothing challenge is breast support... only 5w 3d and all my bras are getting uncomfortable already!

Oh wow those look sooo comfortable! I've been STRONGLY hinting to my dh that he really needs to get his butt up to the attic so I can can go through my maternity stuff and see what still fits and what I need to replace. So far he hasn't taken me seriously lol. I'm showing earlier with this pregnancy than with either of the other ones, and I think I'm going to need the maternity clothes within a few weeks.

I have about a half-dozen pairs of lounge pants from J. Crew from a few years ago. They're super-light and super-soft cotton with a drawstring waist. They're unbelievably comfortable. I've considered many times petitioning J. Crew to start making them again. I think they were called the Dreamy pant. Heaven, I tell you.

I'm not showing at all yet. This my first, so that's probably why. Morning sickness is kicking my ass, too - I'm down to 97 pounds, which freaks me out, big time.

I'm usually pretty sensitive to temperature changes - I come from a long, long line of angry Southern women. It's a genetic thing. We're always hot. think it comes from all the righteous indignation. No matter where it's coming from - genes, or in this case, pregnancy - I'm like a million degrees all the time. I have taken more cold showers than a monk.

So, to help myself through this I've basically stolen all of DF's white short-sleeve undershirts. They're like a dress on me (I'm 5' even, he's 6' 1"), but for some reason right now my feet are constantly freezing. I'm got a little bit of a cashmere fetish (inherited from my Mom. She's my dealer, really - every Christmas she finds a new pair of cashmere socks for my stocking.)

I've had this week off, so right now I'm laying in bed, surrounded by boxes, in DF's t-shirt and purple knee socks with green polka dots with my MacBook on my stomach and my cat trying his best to lay on the top of my head.

Isn't life grand?
