we are still using the same pacifiers at 11 months that we started with as a newborn. I worried that we needed to switch to an "older" version so I bought 4 or so different kinds, all of which were rejected by ds. So, we are still using the original one! I'd love to hear the answer from someone who knows!

 

I know that it takes a few days for them to get used to a new size.

I think that you have to go up at least fromt the newborn to the bigger size at least at 6 months. I think that the bigger size stays with that their mouths get bigger, and keeping one that is too small could make their mouth narrow.

Now i am not a dr, and i only have done this once. I am not really sure why you go up other than what i posted. My dd is 2.5 and she still uses a size 2 gerber nuk.

we never changed sizes. the ones my first two kids used were one size only and the ones my third child used were . . . . .I have no idea. mylast two were never very intrested and gave them on thier own at about 8 months. my first child had on until her second birthday sometimes two at a time :LOL
