There is a birthing centre in Danbury, which is around 45 - 1hr from you in Trumbull, but I know nothing about it. Probably worth a look though.

The Birth Place at St. Mary's in Waterbury is a very nice place to birth. It is also much more convienient to Trumbull than Danbury is.
Those are the only birth centers in CT. They are both nice. I've worked as a doula in both, and birthed in waterbury.
There are also lots of terrirfic HB midwives in CT.

 

is the only free standing birth center in CT. I had both dds there and will birth #3 there in Sept. I highly recommend this place, check out the web site. http://www.ctbirthcenter.com/

Call them, take a tour (online or irl). The midwives there are great and the place is lovely. I would love to have a hombirth, but with this place so close I just don't need to.

 

Hello, I gave birth to my 2 sons at the birth center in Waterbury. I lOVE my midwife and the birth center is wonderful... Just up route 8!

 

I birthed my dd at the Birthplace at St. Mary's 3 years ago and loved it. I know many mamas whom have birthed there, and have heard almost all positive things from them.
