Is it possible to have cramps, like menstrual cramps and still be pregnant?

I had menstrual-ish cramps from about the time of implantation to around 7 weeks. At first, they were a little different from my typical cramps (they felt like pinching in my sides), but before I confirmed I was pregnant I had convinced myself they were just a variation of pre-menstral cramps. Later they became more like typical menstrual cramps (which worried me at the time!), but here I am, 12 weeks pregnant. I still get some minor cramps sometimes.

I'm a little over 21 weeks and still have them. I didn't have them beyond the first tri with DS, but with DD it's different. My OB and m/w said it's because my body knows what to do, but it's revolting against it. I'm not to worry unless there is bleeding or the cramps are excrutiating (and I'm high-risk for PTL).
