? CT Public School Maternity Leave

I work in a public school in CT and am not ready to tell them I'm pregnant yet but my DH is begging me to find out about my leave. Does anyone know if teachers are entitled to short term disability? If so, for how long and how much does it cover? Thanks!!!

Sorry, I'm not from Connecticut but just happened to see this post.

The first thing you can do is check your paystub to see if you pay into state disability. In California, for example, teachers don't pay into state disability, so I had to buy a private disability policy, which I used when I had my son last spring.
