Diaper rash from starting meat?

We started meat about a week ago and my baby is getting diaper rash for the first time. I've never had to do anything special with him before to prevent rashes, no creams, and I've always changed him every few hours (except when he pooped) and he's never had any problems. Now I'm changing him after every pee, covering him in diaper cream and it still keeps getting worse

the worst spot is around his perineum which is getting worse every day.
Will this go away?

He's 8.5 months old and eating all the regular non-meat foods already like avocado, sweet potato, banana, spinach, white potato, peas, (I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting at the moment)... none have seemed to bother him before, just when I gave him chicken. I stopped with all solids, just to see if that would help and the rash went away... I'll have to give him some more meat to be sure that's what caused it, but if that's what causes it, is it temporary? Will his system eventually get used to meat?
