frantically trying to roll over at night?

one of my guys, 5 months old, but 3 months adjusted, is constantly waking himself up by trying to turn himself over. at night he'll wake up, and when i check on him he'll be trying so hard to roll... over and over... while half-asleep... he just can't mellow himself out. he used to sleep well at night, but now wakes several times with this trying to roll thing.

i assume it's a developmental thing? has anyone experienced this? i feel so bad that he's trying to flip over so frantically. and of course, he succeeded one time and needed me to come and flip him back over

Hey whoa! My 4 month old guy is doing the same thing. He rolled over from his stomach to his back a few times, and now it's like if he's awake and on his stomach, he's got that butt up in the air trying over and over again.

Sometimes he succeeds, but when he does he can't roll back over onto his stomach and can't get back to sleep on his back.

When he doesn't succeed for long enough, he winds up across the crib, rotated 45 degrees, with his face pressed against the bars, pissed off!
