I am now beginning to question whether or not I heard the nurse properly on the phone. She said the level was 842.7 .. isnt that crazy high? (Not that I am complaining!) Maybe she meant 84...

What do you all think?
I dont know if the Dr is even going to have me do another test, but regardless she is out of her office until Monday, so I have no idea how the level is increasing, and nothing to compare it to!

yeap that's high, even for twins, but I wouldn't say crazy high there is a wide range of normal. check betabase.info, there are #s listed for singleton pregnancies and twins

my 15DPO beta was 258

Keep in mind that if you go consulting dr.google, you will see mention of high hcg indicating a problem, just remember that there is a HUGE range of normal for hcg in early pregnancy

Hey,
Yeah, Ive seen some charts showing the possible ranges.
Thank you for answering!

Anyone else with a beta around 15 dpo? Charts are one thing, but I prefer real people answers!

My first beta was at 18DPO and was 1165 and at 20 days it was 2213. If I track backwards and half the numbers, 16DPO would have been around 580 or so. What it would have been at 15DPO is hard to say since I had mine drawn on even days and it's supposed to approximately double every 48 hours.

The more important number is the second blood draw so you have something to compare it to and can make sure it's doubling. Since it doesn't sound like that's going to happen in your case, I'm not sure what to tell you.

842.7 does sound a bit high, but then again 84 sounds a little low. Sometimes the higher numbers can indicate multiples. I know with my numbers, my partner was all excited that I was possibly going to be having twins. Pretty sure mine's a singleton though.

My betas are right at the average mark:

14 dpo-50
16 dpo-102

My 15 dpo would probably have been something like 75 so your numbers are higher than that but that is a good thing. It shows a strong pregnancy or could be more babies. Its more about the doubling time though. You should see if you can get another beta done or an ultrasound. Once you hit about 1000 the fetal sac seen, 3500-4000 the fetal pole can be seen and 5000 the heart activity can be seen by trans-vaginal ultrasound. They say that ultrasounds are the best way to see a viable pregnancy so I would try to get one when you levels hit that mark.
