Hi ladies,
In my first pregnancy, my water broke at 20 weeks. They don't know why, but the assumption is I had some sort of infection, like BV. (My child survived by the way, and is now a healthy 2 1/2 year old.)
Now I'm 7 weeks into my second pregnancy, and my doctor will be testing me periodically for infections. I notice they now have home test kits of infections of this nature, but they say they aren't appropriate for pregnant women. Does anyone know why this might be? Is there a scientific reason, or is it just a legal one?
Thanks,
Kristina
