Hello,
I have been trying to catch my baby's elimination for about two months and he is three and a half months now. I have been more or less consistant, as some days are busier than others. These past few days, I have been making more efforts and have caught at least 10 pees or poops per day. However, I have missed more than that each day. I feel like I am taking him to pee every 10-15 minutes, and about half the time he goes, the other half he had just went before I took his diaper off. I am getting worried... if he has to go that often, I feel like that is all I get done each day. Having (as most mothers do) a house to keep, a husband to feed twice a day, a toddler to attend to (18mo), exams to prepare (I am an at-home student) and other small responsabilities, I have no idea how it is possible to do EC right. I simply can't find the time each day ! How often do babies normally eliminate ? Is 20 to 30 times a day normal for a 3mo ?
Thank you for helping me.

I have a 3 month old and she urinates about every 15-20 in the morning, then it decreases to about once every 30 minutes in the afternoon. In the evening, she can go 3 hours without urinating. At night when she is sleeping, she can sleep for about 5-6 hours before needing to EC. I have heard that a hormone "kicks in" after awhile that helps us "hold" the need to go to the bathroom at night while sleeping. As soon as DD was sleeping more at night, she also started to hold her urine longer.

HTH!
