my head is spinning... literally!

I know that dizziness in the second trimester is normal, and I've been having it with standing too fast, etc. but today it kicked in just sitting there. I called DH to have him get the kids, so I could just come home from work and rest. I'm feeling pretty good otherwise, just dizzy. Most the time it's a vague un-balance, but every now and then I get a whopper of a spin. I have none of the symptoms that they say to worry about all over the web- like pain, pressure, bleeding, swelling, etc. I'm just dizzy. I've drank more water, ate more protein, at more sugar/carbs, laid down. Nothing has helped, nope, nada... I'm hoping it's just the heat and exhaustion and I'll feel better tomorrow! Here's to hoping, right?

I get that. Google "symptoms of low blood pressure" and see if that rings a bell.

If I get to warm, it's all over. Blech.

If I am careful to take a vitamin with iron (and I'm still waiting on the floradix to arrive), drink LOTS of water and some gatorade, consume salt (I didn't used to salt my food at all), eat bananas, and eat regularly, combined with not getting too hot, I can do okay. If I mess up any of those, whew...bad news. Two nights ago, my heart was beating fast when I woke up from a nap (over 100 bpm), and skipping every tenth beat or so. It lasted a few hours. I had eaten poorly and gotten too hot. Again, blech.

Floradix. Get some and take it daily. It's a liquid iron supplement (basically concentrated vegetables) and it does not bind you up. I am ever so slightly anemic and the Floradix makes a HUGE difference in my energy, mood, dizziness, ability to breathe (your blood carries oxygen around, so low iron can make you feel a little out of breath) ... it's great. I really feel like crud when I run out.
