Installing rearfacing - 2 noodles ok?

I am trying to install DS' new Como and I am struggling to get the angle right. I have tried a towel and a pool noodle but I can't get the base level (which is what the manual says). DS is 3m, is it critical that the back be at a 45 degree angle? If so, can I use 2 noodles or a noodle and a towel? Or is this a case of this seat doesn't fit this car ('04 Toyota Sienna)?

Well, I am having a hard time how 2 would work when 1 wouldn't

. I either use one, or three taped into a pyramid. Does that make sense? That way they stay put.

At 3 months, I'd have it at 45* or a teeny bit more upright. He will still need some head support at least when he's sleeping for another couple of months.

I'll have to try that after my big girls are asleep. If they catch me hacking up their pool noodle there will be big

I am able to get it in rock solid, just not at the right angle. Hopefully the noodle pyramid will do the trick. The reason I thought 2 might work was that one was sliding into the crack of the seat and the carseat was just catching the edge of it. A second noodle would have been more firmly under the edge of the carseat, but three will do the same thing and probably make it a better angle. It is a nice seat and we got a great deal on it, but I think I like the Marathons a lot better.
