is it safe to bf my 15 month old when i get home? im not sure if there are different types of it, they just told me local and then perhaps something in an iv as a mild sedative (i know i would have to know specifically what the sedative is). i was just wondering about the local, as i can say no to the sedative.

I just had dental surgery on Friday and had the IV sedative. My dentist said to avoid feeding for 6-7 hours afterwards!
I had an outpatient procedure just last week under propofol (conscious sedation). Both docs were aware that I was breastfeeding and I looked up propofol just to be sure. Not a prob. I nursed DS just before the procedure and then again when I was done, about an hour later. Well, tried to, anyway. He was more interested in the toys in the waiting room.
