My daughter, age 5, has been asking about pen-pals. She would like to write to some other children her age, from around the country (and overseas, as well). I live in NJ, so I would prefer more individuals from other states and countries so they can share different information, but I would welcome those from NJ, too!
We unschool, and are not doing so for religious purposes. We chose this path to allow our daughters to follow their own path, and to find what it is that makes them happy.
Because I realize that everyone is at different stages of learning, I do not expect long, elaborate letters..... A few words here and there, a drawing perhaps, a postcard, etc. would be great!
My daughter is interested in dinosaurs, sharks, Faeries, mummies and other things having to do with Egypt, rocks, reading about just about anything, gardening, as well as countless other things. We would welcome letters from other boys and girls around her age, whether they share similar interests or not. It is always fun to read about different things.
