Placemat for baby eating at the table?

We used one of those for DS1, and the only problem was that it ruined the finish on our teak table (looks like the stain was worn away where he sat). Because of that, we're not planning to use them for the twins, though I don't yet know what we will use instead. It did stay in place well, so if you have a different type of table, it might work well for you.

We have one of those (although it was called something else?), and it is awesome. We didn't have any trouble with the finish on our table. I think they are particularly good for self-feeders because they have the little catch trough so when the baby is learning to get a hold of the food it doesn't all slide off onto the floor. I also found it impossible to use a place mat that my lo could easily move because they would throw the whole thing on the floor.

Ours was BPA- and phthalate free as well.
