I have no advice, sorry. Just wanted to say that I will feel lucky if my dd has that much hair when she turns 3! She's 2 and has very short hair. Every once in a while I worry about it growing so slow... maybe its a sign of a nutritional defiecency (sp?). But her hair has always been like this, so I think its normal for her.

She's always wearing hats, so its hard to find a pic showing her hair, but here she is on "makeover day". You can get the idea:

I wouldn't worry overmuch. Ds is 22 mos and his hair isn't even all one length yet. He's had hair cuts but the hair ontop of his crown hasn't caught up with the rest (it's two or three dif lengths) fromk when it fell out when he was a newborn. I have a friend with a blonde baby girl. She's 2 and STILL has almost NO hair! They all go at their own pace

Thanks everyone! I know I shouldn't really be worried per say...it may look thick buts its kinda thin...it seems to get to that point then thins out. I was just curious if giving her a hair trim would help.

I have the oposite issue...my daughter is two and has so much!! and its all in ringlets!! I have no idea what to do with them...my hair is stick straight. Try to brush hers and she looks like a dandylion poof. Comb it and in 10 mins it looks like you havent done anything with it in weeks! Wet is goes clear down her back!! My son was still almost bald at this point!! Its cute and I love it but lord its a lot of work!!

 

Just wanted to say your dd's adorable! I wouldn't worry - DS didn't get a full head of hair until he was almost 2, but then made up for it big time by the time he was 4 (takes after me, thick and curly)

Oh, and as for the trim making it grow - it's an old wives tale - nothing you do to the end of the hair is going to stimulate the root to increase growth. (grown women who get regular trims do tend to lose less length to split ends, but that's not really an issue with toddler hair)

 

My 3 1/2 yr old dd's hair looks the same length as your dd's. My 2 yr old dd also has slow growing hair. I think it's just genetic. Nothing to worry about!

Bingo!

Cutting it might make growth more noticable - simply because you've made it shorter, but hair grows from the roots, not the ends.

What a cutey though! My 1 yr. old is still pretty bald. I only pray she'll have as much hair as your dd at 3 yrs old!

 

Thanks ladies! I guess I wont' do anything then and just figure she'll have longer hair when she gets it! You know, it makes sense abotu the trimming the hair on the ends making it grow being an old wives tale, but I swear, just tonight in the shower I thought, I need to go get the ends trimmed off of my hair so it can grow more!

Guess I dont' need to do that either!
