Everything that I have read about vitex says to not take it while taking clomid or any other fertility medicine. Vitex acts like clomid, so you might over-stimulate b/c you'd really be taking a double dose, if that makes sense. I would double check with your dr. You wouldn't want to hyper-stim and lose your ovaries. Just my opinion! Good luck to you! I hope whatever you choose works

 

Personally, when i tok vitex, it also gave me 5+ months of amenorrhea, and I was only able to get my cycle back with prescription meds. like all medicines/rememdies, Vitex does NOT work for all women. I would NOT take it with clomid, because everything says not to take them together. But that is my research.

 

Everything I have read or heard says that you cannot take vitex and clomid together. They work in different ways on your brain and contradict each other. I think I also read that overstimulation could happen (I guess clomid can cause that by itself anyways, but...).

I have used vitex for almost a year and its been good for me, strengthened my cycles and decreased my PMS, but I did not take it for the three months that I took clomid. Play it safe and just take the clomid alone - it is really strong in its own way.

Thanks mamas... That is exactly what my gut told me to do. I'm on day 2 of the Clomid, and with my cycle history even before ever TTC I feel okay with trying the meds. I really want to conceive before my age starts to exacerbate the problems I already have. If after a few months of this I don't conceive... I'll go back to vitex.
