I have seen a few posts that stated that their babes were eating yogurt at 8-9 mo. My Dd is 7mo and just exploring a little with solids but I thought dairy was generally held off until 1 yo. Thoughts?

a lot of people do yogurt and cheese earlier. I guess because the lactose is more broken down (in aged cheese it certainly is)? I was confused by this as well. I started cheese at 11 months, yogurt at 11.5. Haven't done cows milk yet.
We've already done some dairy, yogurt and cheese and trace bits of things in prepared foods. But we aren't going to give her cows' milk to drink until at least a year old and probably more like 3 before she gets any on a regular basis--most likely on her cereal when she asks. For me, it's about making sure she doesn't replace breastmilk.
I intro'd yogurt at 7.5 months, she loved it. I'll wait on cow's milk, cheese in a month or so probably.
